Yi-Chu Hsu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Tainan, Taiwan. She received her BS degree in Harbour and River Engineering from National Taiwan Ocean University in Keelung, Taiwan, in 1992. She attended National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan and received an MS degree in Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering, 1994. She spent 2 years as an Engineer at Hoshin Engineering Consultants Co. Ltd., Taipei, and another 2 years as a Research Engineer at National Taiwan University¡¦s Hydraulic Research Laboratory, Taipei, Taiwan. She attended the University of Washington at Seattle in year 1998 and received a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in year 2003. Her research interests include SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning), bio-MEMS and microfabrication.
